Sometimes I worry so much about my kids.   This is an evil crazy world we live in and I can see that its only getting worse.  I feel like I live in a bubble and the wickedness is far worse then I can even imagine, and here I brought 3 little people to live in this world.   How are they going to survive? Then I read this tonight and it struck me so much I had to put it somewhere where where I can come back and read it again.   President George Q. Cannon (1827–1901), First Counselor in the First Presidency: “God has reserved spirits for this dispensation who have the courage and determination to face the world, and all the powers of the evil one, visible and invisible, to proclaim the gospel and maintain the truth and establish and build up the Zion of our God fearless of all consequences. He has sent these spirits in this generation to lay the foundation of Zion never more to be overthrown, and to raise up a seed that will be righteous, and that will honor God, and honor Him supremely, and be obedient to Him under all circumstances.”  I see these qualities already in my kids:  determination, fearlessness, courage, a desire to do what is right.   They really did come this way and its my job to help them hone those skills, to put them to good use towards the right cause.   It doesnt lift the pressure I feel but it did help me see that they are ready for the fight.     7
